Increasing the size of text on a web page

To improve readability of pages within UEA Netcommunity, you can increase the size of the text. Please see the details below on how to do this for your preferred browser.

Microsoft Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click on the View menu. A list of options will appear in the drop down menu.
  3. Click on Text size.
  4. Next another drop down menu should appear with options including “small”, “medium”, “large”, “largest” Click on “largest”.

Netscape

  1. Open Netscape.
  2. Hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and press the plus (+) key. You will find that this will enlarge the text.
  3. To enlarge again, repeat the procedure until the text is enlarged to your requirements.
  4. To make the text smaller, press Ctrl on your keyboard and the minus ( - ) key.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and press the plus (+) key. You will find that this will enlarge the text.
  3. To enlarge again, repeat the procedure until the text is enlarged to your requirements.
  4. To make the text smaller, press Ctrl on your keyboard and the minus ( - ) key.

Apple Safari

  1. Open Apple Safari.
  2. Hold down the Apple button (Mac OS) on your keyboard and press the plus (+) key. You will find that this will enlarge the text.
  3. To enlarge again, repeat the procedure until the text is enlarged to your requirements.
  4. To make the text smaller, press Apple (Mac OS) on your keyboard and the minus ( - ) key.

Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and press the plus (+) key. You will find that this will enlarge the text.
  3. To enlarge again, repeat the procedure until the text is enlarged to your requirements.
  4. To make the text smaller, press Ctrl on your keyboard and the minus ( - ) key.
